With over 27 years experience, the London Jewish Cultural Centre is London’s leading provider of Jewish education and culture.

We are completely independent and inclusive attracting participants of all ages and affiliations with a diverse and imaginative educational and cultural programme.

Over 1,300 participants a week visit the Centre to participate in day and evening courses in Jewish History, Languages, Current Affairs, Jewish Life and Learning, Music, Literature, Art and Film. We also run outreach courses in the wider community, accompanied day trips in and around London and guided tours across the Jewish world.

We hold regular Bridge, Chess, Mother and Toddler and Film Clubs, Exercise Classes and host full seasons of cultural events with leading writers, speakers, journalists, musicians, historians, actors and artists.

Our recent introduction of Young Professional events for the 25 - 40's has proved very popular and we are delighted to welcome young people from all walks of life to Ivy House on a regular basis for Friday Night Dinners, lectures and talks, BBQ's and social events.

Since moving to Ivy House we have also developed closer links with a number of other community based organisations; Jewish Care, UJIA, Limmud, and the Hebrew University. In addition, our beautifully appointed Grand Hall, Garden Room and classrooms provide an important new facility for communal organisations, charities and private individuals to hold meetings, workshops, fundraisers and celebrations.

With the help and support of over 70 Holocaust survivors, who work with us in a voluntary capacity, the Holocaust and Anti-Racism Education Department runs pioneering and influential educational programmes in schools across the UK. We are also the key UK contributor to the International Taskforce for Holocaust Education and most recently the facilitator of dialogue between Jewish and Muslim women through a government funded programme.

The London Jewish Cultural Centre is funded by donors, benefactors and supporters and the income generated from courses and events. Our aim has always been to provide the highest quality programmes, at a price affordable for all. No-one suffering genuine hardship, with the desire to learn, will ever be turned away.
