Welcome to the LJCC Movie Madness
Half Term Scheme 2009!
A packed 3-day movie making programme for 11 - 15 year olds (school years 7 - 10) with tuition by professionals. If you have a real passion for film making or performing, then this could start you on the road to the Oscars!
Join us for an adventure as we investigate who is behind
“The Theft of the Peacock Diamond” and discover who masterminded “The Murder of Jude Doppelganger”. We aren’t sure whodunnit yet... it’s up to you!
Professionals from J-doc and Time 2 Shine will work with you to develop a film screenplay from an outline concept, design sets, costumes and props and then use professional cameras to shoot your creation.
A full information pack will be provided prior to the start date:
• Each session is half a day. Price: £50 (for three half days)
• Age 11 - 13 (Years 7 & 8) Mornings 9:00am - 12:30pm
• Age 14 - 15 (school years 9 & 10) Afternoons 1:30pm - 5:00pm
Like every great production, the week will conclude with an exclusive film premiere. All participants will be provided with a DVD of their film.
Time 2 Shine works with children, young people, community and special needs groups, as well as dance and theatre companies. They aim to raise participants’ self esteem and talent base through engagement with a range of performing arts. Time 2 Shine enables participants to develop their own original material from start to finish, including skills in art, drama and music, as well as technical expertise in song/script writing, digital scenery and props.
J-doc is the LJCC’s own film making documentary workshop. J-doc provide film making tuition and a wide variety of editing and conversion services. Tutors also facilitate the development of ideas from scripts to final onscreen results.
