This second-year course will focus on the Jewish experience of the 20th Century: the Shoah and the creation of the State of Israel are arguably the most significant events in Jewish history since the destruction of the Second Temple. This course will review the traumatic events that created the Jewish world as it is today. You do not need to have studied the first year to join, but optional tutorials will be available.
