An opportunity to reconsider Ireland and England's
two greatest and most original modernist
writers, at once quite different from and
yet radically similar to each other. Between
them, they pushed the boundaries of form
and content in the novel, changing fiction
forever. We shall read Joyce’s short story
The Dead, his first novel, Portrait of
the Artist as a Young Man; and two of
Lawrence’s novels, Sons and Lovers and
Women in Love.
