To understand the history of the political
Far Right across Europe after the fall of
Nazism in 1945, we shall explore Fascism
and The Far Right in depth. We will look at
the impact of the collapse of Communism
in Eastern Europe on the politics and appeal
of The Far Right. We shall explore Europe
region by region, and country by country.
Finally, we shall look at the situation today
and the dangers The Far Right pose to
Liberal Democracy.

18 October - Exploring the Ground: Nazism, Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and Economic crisis

25 October - Iberian Fascism: Salazar and Franco keep going

1 November - Britain: From Mosley to BNP

8 November - France: The Le Pens

15 November - Greece: Civil War, Colonels and Golden Dawn

22 November - Hungary: From authoritarianism to authoritarianism in a vicious circle

29 November - Romania, Bulgaria and former Yugoslavia: The re-emergence of The Far Right

6 December - Italy: From grandfather to granddaughter – The Mussolinis ride again

13 December - Scandinavian and even German democracy challenged

20 December – 21st century Europe: Democracy is here to stay or …..?
