A poetry workshop which will look at writing poetry using interesting forms and rhymes, as well as poems which are written in modern free form. We will look at texts and try out different exercises. There will be plenty of opportunity to write in class and share your writing for feedback. All levels welcome. Just bring a pen and notebook.
Miriam Halahmy is an author, poet and freelance reviewer. She has published a novel for adults and two poetry collections, as well as short and long fiction for children and adults. Her new cycle of three novels for Young Adults, of which the first title is Hidden, will be published by Meadowside Books in March 2011. Miriam runs creative writing workshops, mentors writers individually and is an independent editor. She is a member of the Highgate Poetry Society and the Society of Authors.
