Animation Workshop with Professional Filmmaker Sarah Vaci

Create, illustrate and animate! Learn how to animate objects, cardboard, plasticine and even people!
Participants will develop, write and storyboard an idea and, in groups, create 2D (flat) backgrounds and puppets. You will use stop-motion (Coraline and Chicken Run) to animate your film using professional equipment and software and finally create a soundtrack using dialogue, sound effects, and music. You will see your ideas coming to life on screen.
Sarah Vaci is a professional filmmaker who has directed and produced short films for 10 years. She worked at the Tate Britain and the British Museum and has run workshops across the UK and USA enabling young people to make original, creative, and entertaining animations and live action films.
