With Emma Bell, Director of Jewish Women’s Aid and Lynndy Levin, Rebbetzin South Hampstead and Education Consultant. Chair Clive Lawton.
Jewish Women's Aid is a National Charity which offers support to women in the form of a helpline, outreach work in the community and a counselling service. Central to their current work is a refuge in London, which provides a vital haven for women starting on the path to rebuilding their lives. It is the only kosher and observant refuge in Europe, meaning it is suitable for women of all levels of religious observance.
New LJCC Series: Community Matters
The 21st century is a challenging environment for all communities and the individuals within them. What are the pressures, how can they be managed, and what role should the Jewish community take? In this new series we will tackle these difficult social issues in a practical way by encouraging debate and discussion with community professionals in a managed and supportive environment.
Next event in the series:
Addictions, Monday 13 December
