If you're interested in plays and playwrights come and join our monthly play reading group.

No acting experience is needed, simply come along and share the pleasure of reading aloud among friends.

All those wishing to participate need to indicate their forthcoming attendance in advance as all the parts in the play are cast prior to the evening’s reading.

Next Play Reading: Wednesday 23 May
City Sugar by Stephen Poliakoff

This is a play for four men and three women and takes place, in the main, in a Sound Studio of Leicester Sound, a local commercial radio station. Leonard Brazil, disc-jockey, is becoming increasingly aware of, and disgusted with, the soul-destroying falsity of his job as he scornfully panders to and manipulates the fantasies of his immature teenage listeners.
