David Herman was a TV and radio producer for 20 years, producing 'Start the Week (Radio 4) and numerous programmes on BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 with Melvyn Bragg, Jeremy Isaacs and many others. For the past 10 years he has been a freelance writer, reviewing for The Guardian, The Independent, Prospect, The New Statesman and is the Chief Fiction Reviewer for The Jewish Chronicle. He has taught several literary courses and chaired a number of events at the LJCC.
