In Walter’s long film career, he worked with numerous international stars, such as Ingrid Bergman, Barbra Streisand, Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch, Bette Davis, Clark Gable, Dustin Hoffman, Richard Gere, Omar Sharif, Anthony Hopkins and many, many more.
He began in the film industry at Shepperton Studios in 1947, after serving in the RAF. He trained as a make-up artist for film and TV. The films An Ideal Husband and Anna Karenina were an introduction to a career that spanned 47 years.
His list of films include, Yentl, Fiddler on the Roof, Agatha, Dirty Dozen, The Elephant Man, Golda, The Eye of the Needle, Chaplin, Cry Freedom and more.
