The LJCC has pleasure in inviting you to join our tour of CHINA, covering Beijing, Kaifeng, Xian, Suzhou and Shanghai. This tour is designed to educate, fascinate and enrich your imagination as you explore the Land of the Dragon. We focus on Jewish life, both past and present, discovering how it is intermingled with and also varied from Chinese culture, history and life-style throughout the centuries.
From the moment the tour starts, you will be accompanied by our Director of Overseas Operations, Jerold Gotel, who is an Associate Professor in Jewish Studies at Henan University in China, and also by skilled Chinese guides.
This will be our fourth tour of China, and, given the huge success and participation on previous occasions, we recommend that you enrol as early as possible as numbers will be limited.
To make the trip even more meaningful, there will be a pre-tour lecture on the History of the Jews in China. The cost of this is included in the tour price.
Our travel to and from China will be arranged through West End Travel Limited of London ATOL Protected Number 938. This travel company has appointed us their agent for this tour.
The tour will be co-ordinated by Lionel Unterhalter, who will be happy to assist you wherever possible.
