Only London appearance of Booker Prize winning author Thomas Keneally, who is best known for Schindler's Ark, which was turned into Spielberg’s Oscar winning film, Schindler’s List. Come and hear Keneally talk about how he embarked on this moving award winning project and buy his latest book, Searching For Schindler, which describes his journey.
Born in 1935 into an Irish Catholic family, Thomas Keneally, who studied for the priesthood for six years but left just before ordination, has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize four times and won it with SCHINDLER'S ARK in 1982 and he has twice received the Miles Franklin Award. His novels have been filmed - SCHINDLER'S LIST and THE CHANT OF JIMMIE BLACKSMITH - and dramatised - THE PLAYMAKER.
Thomas Keneally will be interviewed by our special guest Gerry Lewis. Gerry Lewis was born in London. He's been in the movie business for a lifetime, much of it with Steven Spielberg. He has worked with him since his first film -- Duel -- in 1973 and on all but two of his films since then. He has been head of international marketing for DreamWorks, and for Paramount and Universal's international operations for more than 20 years. He has been an independent international marketing consultant for almost as long.
Tickets cost £17.50 in advance and £20.00 on the door.
