Exhibition: Portraits for Posterity

MON
15
MAR
January - April 2010

Portraits for Posterity aims to create memorable photographic portraits of individuals who, having survived the Nazi Holocaust, went on to create new lives in Britain. Its objective is to celebrate those individuals’ achievements as a permanent memorial that, by producing portraits of a few, will serve also to commemorate the millions who perished and cannot therefore be recorded for posterity. More than 80 survivors, from London, Leeds, Manchester and Brighton, have been photographed. The LJCC exhibition includes a selection of portraits of London survivors, accompanied by short biographies.

Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm
Until April 30th 2010.

For further details of the project see Portraits for Posterity's website
