A unique insight into the patterns and structures that inspire both music and maths. How rhythm and arithmetic play to the same beat; how compositions feed off symmetry and geometry. As Bach’s friend Mizler once said: Music is the act of sounding mathematics!
Marcus du Sautoy, well known writer and broadcaster, is Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University.
The Ivy House Cafe will be open from 6.30pm.
