Teaching Pack
Lessons of the Holocaust
The London Jewish Cultural Centre and the Holocaust Education Trust have together produced a pioneering teaching pack and multi-discipline resource dedicated to the Holocaust. Lessons of the Holocaust contains all the material teachers need to provide comprehensive instruction on key aspects of the Holocaust. Many of the world's most respected authorities on the Holocaust have contributed years of work and much advice to produce this pack, which also consolidated the classroom experience of many teachers in the UK. Thousands of copies of the pack have been supplied to schools and colleges in the UK and internationally., and a second edition of the pack has been published. It is recognised as the best resource of its kind in Britain and the London Jewish Cultural Centre is seeking funding for updates the pack, for the creation of a CD Rom and for translating it for use in Eastern Europe.
The Winton Project
We are privileged to have been invited to initiate and manage an innovative project which will reach out to every secondary school in the country. Focusing on the life of England's "Schindler", Nicholas Winton, the project will teach children about the importance of standing up to be counted and how each of us is capable of making a vital difference to other people's lives. After a successful and moving launch in September 2007, attended by Sir Nicholas, the teaching packs have now been distributed. In response to demand, we have re-printed for any primary school which wants this valuable educational resource.
