Lessons of the Holocaust Teaching Pack
Since 1994 Holocaust Studies has been a compulsory subject in schools. The London Jewish Cultural Centre has developed a special multi-discipline resource, Lessons of the Holocaust, created in conjunction with the Holocaust Education Trust, Nucleus Productions and Professor Robert Wistrich. The original print of 2000 has sold out, and the pack has been reissued and updated in line with Curriculum 2000 and Citizenship in the National Curriculum. The Lessons of the Holocaust pack has been carefully designed to support study in one of the most sensitive areas of history. Materials and resources are provided to cater to Key Stage 3, GCSE, Advanced Level and undergraduate students. The different elements of the pack can be adapted to suit different users, their specific interests and abilities. The pack contains specific guidance for teaching about the Holocaust at Key Stage 3 History, and beyond, and also within the Citizenship, Religious Education and English curricula.
